CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — Sheriff's officials in Bartow County say they're investigating another report of a syringe found in items purchased at a Cartersville Walmart.
The Daily Tribune News reports (http://bit.ly/s8R1Aa) that 14 syringes have now been discovered.
In the most recent case, authorities say a family purchased items in the girl's clothing, electronics and grocery departments. They were not certain where the needle was found. A deputy described the syringe as being clear with a blue cap.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. spokeswoman Dianna Gee has said company officials believe the syringe scare is isolated to its Cartersville store.
About 40 miles south in the Atlanta suburb of Decatur, police are investigating a report of a syringe found inside a pair of children's pants purchased at The Athlete's Foot on Wesley Chapel Road.
