ATLANTA (AP) -- A woman is facing drunken driving charges after authorities say she rammed an Atlanta police officer's car.
Reports say that the incident took place around 3 a.m. Saturday.
Police spokesman John Chafee said two officers were sitting in their patrol car after issuing a citation to another driver when they were struck from behind by a car driven by 47-year-old Kimberly Kendricks.
The impact slammed the officer's car into the vehicle they had stopped. One officer was treated for a sore knee but there were no other injuries.
Kendricks also faces charges of failing to maintain her lane and driving without insurance.
