Covington UMC dedicates Annex

Covington First United Methodist Church held a dedication service for its sanctuary annex on Nov. 20, 2011. In November 2009, Covington First United Methodist Church purchased the former sanctuary and fellowship hall of The Church of the Good Shepherd. Covington First Methodist uses the sanctuary annex for special church and community worship services, and youth prayer and praise each Sunday evening. The fellowship hall allows Covington First Methodist members extra meeting space and the opportunity to do ministry for non-profit groups in the community, such as the scouts, AA and local agencies, by providing a place for them to meet at no cost.
