Oxford resident Grady Spradley has mastered the art of picking up pecans without stooping over. Though a tiresome chore, which must give way to an even more tiresome chore of shelling the tasty nut, the end result is well worth the effort when the nuts are added to favorite holiday dishes. Spradley says he's picking these nuts up for his wife Grace and a niece who are doing a lot of baking for their church.
