"Drivers who keep bright headlights on while coming at you at night are bad enough, not to mention those with a bright light on the driver's side and normal light on the passenger side, but the blue-white lights are almost blinding, to me, but apparently not to others, as the lights seem to be proliferating. I thought the lights were to automatically dim or drivers would dim them, but most seem to maintain their brightness, making my night driving not only unpleasant, but dangerous, for me and the other car. Then, there is the issue of Xenon/HID headlights and Xenon fog light combinations. I would like to see those lights made illegal."
"To the person who submitted the misinformation contained in the Poll of Dec. 11 concerning Obama phones for the needy: President Obama has no impact on the free phone program, and one could hardly call these devices 'Obama Phones,' as the writer stated. This specific program, SafeLink, started under President George W. Bush, with grants from an independent company created under President Bill Clinton, which was a legacy of an act passed under President Franklin Roosevelt, which was influenced by an agreement reached between telecommunications companies and the administration of President Woodrow Wilson. Wilson Phones, anyone? Please check reliable sources before passing on these untruths. The misinformation put forth by the Grand Obstruction Party/Tea Party causes thinking people to believe that the right-wingers have nothing factual which is negative concerning President Obama and the entire Democratic Party. Several university studies/surveys have proven that people who listen to FAUX News are the most uninformed. Rush's response to these findings was that the rest of the world is stupid. Keep in mind that Gingrich is not much more than a glib talker and Reagan was a lousy actor who represented corporate America to the detriment of middle-America."
"President Obama let the GOP know that it ain't a soft bone in his body as they like to swear out that he practices 'appeasement.' When a reporter recently asked about Republican candidates taking aim at his approach to foreign policy, Obama had this to say: 'Ask Osama bin Laden and the 22 out of 30 top Al Qaeda leaders who've been taken off the field whether I engage in appeasement, or whoever's left out there, ask them about that." Take him for a joke if you want, The Boss lets it be known he ain'ts to be Fizzuked with."
"Huckaby's 'editorial" in the Sunday, Dec.11 Citizen concerning Bryant Wright and the Southern Baptist Church was not factual. Apparently, Darrell is not aware that the Southern Baptist Convention (not Bryant Wright) is responsible for the study to drop the word "Southern" from the phrase Southern Baptist. The Southern Baptist spend about a bazillion dollars in outreach each year within the 50 states. Perhaps we would not have to spend quite so much and work so hard winning souls as commanded by our Savior, Jesus Christ, if we could just get away from the stigma associated with the word Southern. I love the South and am proud to be a Southerner, but let's face it, folks, this is the 21st Century. The world is getting much smaller very quickly and the Southern Baptist Church has not been a regional church for many decades. I find it difficult to locate a 'Southern' Methodist Church. What happened to them? Of particular note, Darrell is totally incorrect about Bryant Wright's correctness! Bryant Wright is a gifted teacher. I wish this were true of Huckaby."
"I see on TV where a lot of people are upset with Newt Gingrich's comment about young 'uns now days don't have a lot of good role models. Then I see where the women in the Dollar store are fighting over a cart and I said to myself 'enough said.'"
"I was calling about stealing or destroying Christmas decorations. I have searched my mind and I cannot come up with a word to describe how sorry I think that is."
