Staff Photo: Sue Ann Kuhn-Smith The new Wal-Mart Supercenter at Salem and Brown Bridge roads is taking shape as construction continues in preparation for a 2012 opening. A spokesman previously told the Citizen the approximately 150,000 square foot store would open in the spring, with hiring to take place about three months prior. The spokesman did not return calls seeking an update. The store is expected to generate between $1 million and $1.5 million in sales and property tax revenues annually.
