The Rockdale swim team took care of a trio of teams Thursday at Johnson Park. The Bulldogs won the overall event 407-to-321 over Heritage with the boy's winning handily over Eastside, 207 points to 172, and the girl's having to sweat out a 200-197 victory over the Patriots. Kellie Fair led the way for the Bulldogs, winning individual titles in the 100-butterfly (1:07.81) and 100-backstroke (1:10.86), while Kimaya Tucker out-swam the field to win the 100-freestyle (1:04.29). Rockdale also won girl's relay titles in the 200-medley and 200-freestyle.
Betsy Potter won the 100-breastroke (1:17.55) and Kenzie Webb finished first in the 50-freestyle (28.47) for Heritage, which also picked up titles in both the boy's 200-freestyle relay and girl's 400-freestyle relay. Eastside's second-place finish in the boy's event was thanks to seven individual titles: Joey Ellwanger in the 200-freestyle (1:52.97) and 500-freestyle (5:05.10); Robbie Ellwanger in the 200-individual medley (2:16.79) and 100-breaststroke (1:08.54); Jack Mitchell in the 50-freestyle (23.44) and 100-backstroke (57.14) and Matt Mitchell in the 100-freestyle (57.04). The Eagles also won the boy's 400-freestyle relay.
