Steven and Linda Sikes of Conyers announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Gail Sikes of Bryon, to Walter Anthony Kennedy of Warner Robins, son of Lonnie and Susan Kennedy of Long Branch, N.J.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mat and Ann Turner of Conyers and the late Lewis and Quita Sikes of Brunswick. She is a graduate of Young Americans Christian School and a graduate of Emory University, where she received a degree in environmental science. She is employed with Central Fellowship Christian Academy as a teacher of physics and chemistry in Macon.
The future groom is the grandson of Frank and Jane Graziano of Long Branch and Walter Kennedy of Ramona, Calif., and the late Greta Kennedy. He is a graduate of Academy of Allied Heath and Science in Neptune, N.J., and a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla., where he received a degree in aeronautical engineering. He is employed with The Boeing Company as an aeronautical engineer in Macon.
The couple plans to wed Feb. 18 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Macon.
