Woman reportedly raped at pool hall

CONYERS -- Police are investigating a rape after a woman said she was accosted in the parking lot of a local pool hall Friday.

The victim, a 22-year-old white female, told police she was sexually attacked by an unknown black male in his late 20s or early 30s sometime around 2:30 a.m. Friday at Classic Billiards, located at 1211 Royal Drive.

Conyers Police detectives interviewed the victim at Rockdale Medical Center, where she was dropped off by a friend, a few hours after the incident.

According to the incident report, the woman said the suspect bought her a drink inside the pool hall. Later, she stepped outside to smoke and the suspect was outside. The man told her "Come over here, I want to talk with you." The man advised her to walk around the side of the building and into the back of the parking lot.

They were standing by a parked 18-wheeler truck when the man sexually assaulted her twice, according to the incident report.

Investigators redacted part of the incident report citing it as pertinent information to an active investigation.

The woman told police she ran inside the pool hall and told her friends what happened. The suspect left after the incident, according to the incident report.

The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, standing and 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, according to the incident report.

Investigators noted injuries on the victim knees sustained from the incident. Police also went to the scene of the incident in search of evidence.
