Preschoolers from Rockdale County Public Schools enjoyed a preview performance Tuesday morning of "The Little Mermaid," featuring the Covington Regional Ballet.
Little Mermaid Ansley Head speaks with sea creatures eel Victoria Johnson and (in back) Octopus Queen Anna Wagner. The ballet will be presented in its entirity at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 30, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Porter Hall at Newton High School. Tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for senior citizens; and $5 for students and children. Based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, the Covington Regional Ballet and special guests will take their audience on an under the sea adventure as a mermaid, as portrayed by Ansley Head, struggles to become human and follow her heart to love a prince, played by Patrick Faircloth.More like this story
