COVINGTON -- Residents are invited to join Shakila Henderson-Baker, a candidate for the District 3 Board of Education seat, on the first three Mondays in October between 6 and 7 p.m. for Coffee & Conversation at the Washington Street Community Center.
It is a drop-in question and answer event for anyone who is interested in learning more about her platform, educational background, professional and business background, service to the community, her desire to officially represent citizens on the Board of Education and any last-minute questions citizens would like answered before casting their votes. Washington Street Community Center is located at 4138 School St. in Covington. The specific dates are Oct. 4, Oct. 11 and Oct. 18.
