Morrow -- How does gender relate to communication? Are men not good listeners because of biology? Are women just naturally more intuitive?
The Clayton State University Office of Counseling & Psychological Services is presenting an interactive workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 6 to answer these questions and dispel myths. "Envisioning a World Where We Can Understand Each Other: An Interactive Community Exercise" is free and open to the public and will run from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Ballroom of the University's Student Activities Center.
Conducting this community workshop with the goal of practicing a communication style that can help us all, regardless of gender, learn how to hear and understand each other, is Yolo Akili of Men Stopping Violence. Counseling & Psychological Services is sponsoring the workshop in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
