Annie Dilliard celebrated her 99th birthday Nov. 11 at the Olivia Haydel Senior Center with a roomful of friends and well-wishers. Dilliard, a native Georgian, is the mother of four daughters, 18 grandchildren and more than 10 great grandchildren. She said she loved to sing and dance in her younger days and danced a jig during her birthday party and sang part of "Just a closer walk with thee."
"I feel fine and I thank God for the time He's given me," Dilliard said. "I'm looking forward to a couple more years."
