Applications now available for young scholars program The University of Georgia is offering a Young Scholars Internship Program, and applications are now available.
It is a six-week summer internship for high school students interested in science, agriculture or engineering. Through the program, young scientists are given the opportunity to study within an agricultural field, such as entomology, food science, genetics and learn about applied science in agriculture.
The program is opened to students that have finished their sophomore year, juniors and seniors and are 16 years by May 31.
The application deadline is Jan. 31, 2011 and must include a transcript and two letters of recommendation from science, math or agriculture teachers.
