The Covington Planning Commission recommended approval Tuesday night of the annexation and rezoning of more than 150 acres near the Covington Municipal Airport, despite the protestations of nearby residents. The property is owned by the Industrial Development Authority, which hopes to market it to attract industry to the area. See Thursday's Citizen for the full story.
