CONYERS -- In tune with the pleasant spring weather, a free outdoor movie will be shown this weekend and organizers are encouraging residents to bring their lawn chairs and blankets.
The movie, "The Blind Side," will be shown on a 40-foot screen Saturday on the Glen at the Georgia International Horse Park, located at 1996 Centennial Olympic Parkway off Ga. Highway 138. Admission and parking are free for this event.
The film will start rolling at dark but residents are invited to gather at 7:30 p.m., according to GIHP director Jennifer Bexley.
The film event, called "B At the Movies," is made possible by a partnership between GIHP and Atlanta radio station B98.5 FM. "B at the Movies" is sponsored by Publix and Gas South.
"This is the fifth year we've brought an outdoor movie event to Conyers and each year it seems to grow in popularity," Bexley said. "We think 'B At the Movies' is a great event where families can just enjoy themselves at little to no cost, watching a movie under the stars."
About 3,000 have attended the free movie in the past.
Concessions will be on sale that night. Eventgoers will also be able to bring in their own food to the event.
Pets are not allowed.
Another "B At the Movies," is planned for Aug. 7 and is also to be held at the horse park.
