A large contingent of seniors from the Newton County Senior Center and their supporters made the trek from the Newton County Historic Courthouse to the Turner Lake Recreation Complex on Friday morning. The event is part of the celebrations planned for Older Americans Month. The theme for the walk was "Be There 4 Seniors."
