Four-year-old Kaitlyn Shields is ready at the edge of the drop zone with her bucket at the East Atlanta Egg Drop at the Georgia International Horse Park on Saturday.
The egg drop was organized and hosted by Discover Point Church of Conyers and attracted thousands of area residents to the event. Along with the main event of 30,000 plastic Easter eggs being dropped from a helicopter, organizers had inflatable attractions, live music and prize giveaways.
It took four drops of 7,500 eggs each to get all 30,000 eggs on the Steeplechase field. Children collected the eggs and turned them in for candy.
