Newton High School basketball fans celebrate the Rams 59-47 victory over Jenkins High in the first round of the Class AAAAA state tournament Friday at Newton High School. Clockwise, from left, fans are Kevin Strohschein, Greg Deemer, Tamera Carlton, Dorothy Johnson, Naya Johnson and Laurie Deemer. The action begins again at 6 p.m. tonight at Newton High when the Rams meet the Lowndes County Vikings. Tickets are $7. If the Rams win tonight, they will play at Fort Valley State University at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
