Charles and Betty Grimes of Conyers celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 3. They were married on June 3, 1950 in Cabbagetown, Ga., in the home of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie and Daisy Grimes. Charles is retired from North Bros. Co. as a director and he is a U.S. Marine veteran. He is also an Elvis impersonator who entertains in local nursing homes, among other locations. Betty is a retired dental hygentist. She was a Lake Capri Women's Club member for many years. They have one daughter Jan Craig and one deceased son, Phillip Grimes. They have two grandchildren: Alicia, married to Damon Stephens, and Jennifer, married to Chris Forte. They have four grandchildren: Jessica and Jenna Forte, and Michael and Kyle Stephens. The couple celebrated their anniversary at a reception with family and friends.
