Designed with everything outdoors in mind, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Wildlife Resources Division's three-day archery camp aims to educate and engage adventurous youth.
Registration is now open for the camp in Covington, which is scheduled for July 5-7 at the Georgia Wildlife Federation, located at 11600 Hazelbrand Road.
"Archery camp is going to be three days worth of fun-filled outdoor adventures," said Jen Pittman, shooting sports program coordinator with the Wildlife Resources Division. "This is a great opportunity to develop archery skills and to expose children to the exciting outdoor opportunities around them."
Campers should expect constant activity, including target practice, outdoor exploration and wildlife identification.
Camp is intended for youngsters ages 9-14. To register, an archery camp registration packet must be completed and turned in along with a $75 payment to the Wildlife Resources Division by July 1. Camp hours run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
Sponsors for this camp include the Georgia Wildlife Federation and the Georgia DNR, Wildlife Resources Division.
For more information or to obtain a camp registration packet, call Jennifer Pittman at 770- 918-6416 or e-mail Jennifer.pittman@dnr.state.ga.us.
