Bobby and Mattie Brown of Conyers celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 7. They were married May 7, 1960 in Winder. They have been residents of Conyers for 42 years. Bobby is a retired from Mid Georgia Trucking. They have four children: Tammy, married to husband Steve Hammonds of Covington; Susanne, married to husband Larry Splawn of Loganville; Mike, married to wife Marlene Brown of Conyers; and Andy, married to wife Kim Brown of Oxford. They have 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. They were given an anniversary celebration on May 15 hosted by their children at the home of Tammy and Steve Hammonds in Covington and they celebrated amongst other family members and friends.
