Upon return to school in August, students at Heard-Mixon Elementary School will have new playground equipment. The school's PTO raised money to buy new equipment that was needed to provide adequate equipment for the growing school population. Heard-Mixon parents and teachers are very proud of pulling together and working for this cause and will continue their efforts in the future. Pictured with students from the school on the new equipment are, from left, PTO President Lea-Ann Taylor, Heard-Mixon Assistant Principal Marquita Wilkins, school Principal Lee Peck and PTO treasurer Jennifer Towns.
