Careers in sight: Students absorb hospital life in Scrubs program
COVINGTON -- If you visit Newton Medical Center this summer, you might see some younger faces helping out.The hospital continued its juniors program this year to introduce high school students to the medical field by having them volunteer in various departments and attend classes at the hospital for three weeks during the summer.

Citizen picks up 12 Associated Press awards
CONYERS -- The Rockdale Citizen and Newton Citizen newspapers received a combined 12 awards in the Georgia Associated Press Association newspaper contest. The awards are given annually to recognize outstanding journalism over the previous year.
