Teachers from Newton and Rockdale counties attended a four-day professional development class this past week at the Rockdale Career Academy in Conyers. It is part of the math and science partnership with the Georgia Institute of Technology in which higher education teachers are model teachers for the local teachers to gather new ways of presenting ideas and lessons to their classes. Pictured is Susan Bohannon, a seventh-grade science teacher from Indian Creek Middle School, showing the class how she helps her students relate to the role cells play in the body.
