This young man apparently followed his nose until he couldn't find his way back home.

He was discovered wandering in an undeveloped subdivision and it looks like he may have missed a meal or two.

A healthy weight for this male Basset Hound would be 50 to 55 pounds and he's ready to do his part to gain the needed weight back.

Workers at Newton County Animal Control say he is very friendly with other dogs and should make an ideal pet.
