Grammy award-winning country artist Jennifer Nettles, right, stopped by the Kiwanis Club of Covington's meeting Thursday when the group recognized her mom, Eastside High School English teacher Carla Temple, for being one of the county's STAR teachers. Nettles is part of the country group Sugarland known for the hit song, "All I Want to Do." She also sang with Bon Jovi on "Who Says You Can't Go Home."
