Officials cancel Brasstown retreat
COVINGTON -- The city of Covington is canceling its March retreat to Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa, City Manager Steve Horton said Wednesday.

But by Wednesday morning, they had discovered that move was in violation of the board's bylaws.

COVINGTON -- Covington's General Mills plant continued to show its dedication to area schools and organizations by giving them grants. Many of the grants announced Wednesday morning will help parents get more involved with their children and will encourage students to live healthy lives.
