Willie Collier of Covington hopes he has the lucky Powerball ticket for the first Georgia drawing today. Collier purchased his ticket from Selam Gebremedhin at the Raceway station on U.S. Highway 278. The Powerball game joins Mega Millions as the two largest multi-state lottery games with the largest jackpots. "Adding Powerball is an exciting opportunity to provide our players with more chances to win large jackpots and to yield new revenue for lottery-funded HOPE Scholarships and Pre-K," said Georgia Lottery Corp. President and CEO Margaret DeFrancisco.
