CONYERS -- Two employees at a Conyers cellular service store were held up at gunpoint Friday night by two masked men.
According to Conyers Police, the armed robbery occurred at 6:36 p.m. at the AT&T store, located at 2239 Ga. Highway 20. Two black men armed with semi-automatic pistols entered the store and instructed the two employees to get on the ground. The employees were held at gunpoint while the robbers searched through drawers for money.
Afterward, the robbers instructed the employees to count to 30, and then fled the store on foot heading north through the parking lot. Prior to the incident, the suspects believed to be the robbers were observed loitering in front of the shopping center, according to a CPD press release.
The robbers concealed their faces by wearing hooded sweatshirts, cotton skull-cap style hats, and red bandannas over their mouths. Both suspects were described as dark-skinned black men, both with slim builds, 18 to 20 years of age, both wearing black hooded sweatshirts, hats and pants, the release said.
One suspect was wearing white tennis shoes, with black soles and black shoe laces. The other suspect appeared to be wearing dark tennis shoes. A white tag can be seen on the hat of the second suspect. Both wore all black clothing, the release said.
