Workers put the finishing touches on the new Oxford City Hall and community building on West Clark Street this week. Alex Rainwater of Allen Low Voltage Systems of Marietta checks the fire alarm system Monday to make sure everything is in working order. The company also is handling the security cameras, microphones, television system and other low-voltage items in the new City Hall. The city will dedicate its new $1 million City Hall and community center at 3 p.m. Thursday, followed by a special open house reception until 6 p.m. Mayor Jerry Roseberry, Oxford City Council members and Oxford employees are expected to be present to welcome guests, in addition to representatives from the architectural firm Carter Watkins and general contractor Garrard Construction.
