U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., has announced that Marc Fordham, regional director for Northeast Georgia, and Tate Izlar, his field representative for Northeast Georgia, will hold an open office day for constituents in Newton County.
The two will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Newton County Historic Courthouse located at 1124 Clark St. in Covington.
Isakson encouraged constituents to come talk with his representatives about any issues concerning the federal government, federal legislation or federal agencies such as Veterans Affairs, the IRS, Medicare or the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services.
"This open office day will help ensure that the views, concerns and local efforts of all Georgians are reflected in the operation of our office," Isakson said.
Fordham and Izlar are responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities in their region and acting as representatives for Isakson when he is unable to personally attend events in the area.
