The panic to get to the post office isn't what it used to be, as apparently extended hours are no longer needed for last-minute tax filers. With the advent of the Internet, many taxpayers opt to file electronically. Here, Carl Largo mails his tax return at noon Thursday at the Covington Post Office and is assisted by postal worker Dee Gardner. Post office officials said they weren't any busier than usual Thursday.
