Rush-hour traffic was disrupted for at least 90 minutes Wednesday morning when a tractor-trailer loaded with rebar and other building supplies overturned on Interstate 20 westbound near mile marker 96. The Newton County Sheriff's Office and Georgia State Troopers rerouted traffic as Georgia Department of Transportation employees worked to right the truck and remove the debris from the roadway. The crash occurred between 7:15 and 7:30 a.m. when the tractor-trailer sideswiped a passenger vehicle, according to NCSO spokesman Lt. Mark Mitchell. He said no one was badly hurt in the crash and investigators are still in the process of discovering what happened to cause the truck driver to lose control.
