BRASELTON - From Banks County to Atlanta - police are compiling a list of charges against a man who led them on a one-and-a-half hour chase Monday.
At the end of the day, Dureze Wright of Covington was arrested.
Braselton police were among the agencies involved in the pursuit which began about 3 p.m. after Banks County posted a lookout for a stolen car, according to Assistant Chief Lou Solis.
Solis said his officers spotted the car driving southbound on Interstate-85 and tried to stop it, but the driver would not pull over and kept heading south, speeding up.
Solis said the car was chased - sometimes at or below the speed limit - into south Atlanta where it wrecked at Langford Parkway.
The driver, Wright, fled on foot but was captured after running through rush-hour traffic across four lanes of highway and after being Tasered.
Solis said his department is one of the agencies that will be filing charges against Wright.
"He tried to ram our patrol cars twice," Solis said.
