Mullins Letter - 10/28/09

Many Americans have probably never given thought of the liberties/freedoms they have enjoyed someday coming to an end. Ongoing events in government today suggest that is a looming reality. Since mainstream media makes little or no effort in keeping the public informed, many citizens seem unaware of the abounding breadth and depth of government corruption. It's as if the media shares in the corruption. One might liken the situation to a host of termites eating away the foundation while the people are busily engaged in meaningful employment to support themselves and family.

Consider the president's public announcement, "we are going to fundamentally transform the USA." No one asked, "into what?" Transform implies a thorough or radical change, whether in appearance or nature. His proposals thus far seem aimed at weakening or destroying the values and principles the nation was founded upon. One destructive example is health care reform, which could be more aptly named "the path to enslavement" resulting in life on the "government plantation."

Nothing in the Constitution suggests that government has any obligation to provide health care to citizens, not to mention illegal aliens. This is without question the biggest hoax ever attempted on the American people. Although illegal aliens are claimed to be excluded from the plan, previous Supreme Court rulings require that any blanket government program for all, means for all, including illegal aliens. Motives aside, it will certainly enlarge voting blocs who will be indebted to government. But as a graduate of Harvard Law School where he was president of Harvard Law Review, as a civil rights attorney in Chicago, and as a teacher of Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago Law School for 12 years, is it not reasonable to believe the president, as well as the Congress, is aware of the Supreme Court ruling on this question?

Anyone concerned about where this administration and Congress are leading us is urged to review a document "The Naked Communist," entered into the Congressional Record - Appendix, pp. A34-35, Jan. 10, 1963. For convenience, google "The Naked Communist," click on "The Communist Takeover Of America - 45 Declared Goals" to view a re-print of the document. Make your own judgment as to how many goals have already been fulfilled, and how the direction we are headed suggests fulfillment of the remainder.

As I express these sentiments, it is reported that the president has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, bringing to mind this proven truism of uncertain origin, "to secure peace, prepare for war." A former president stated, "The pacifist is as surely a traitor to his country and to humanity as is the most brutal wrongdoer." And, "We can have no 50-50 allegiance in this country. Either a man is an American and nothing else, or he is not an American at all." And, "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president is morally treasonable to the American Public."
