Covington Lions Club organizers and out-of-town guests are coming together at Legion Field in preparation for the fourth annual Fall Festival and BBQ Cook-Off beginning at 3 p.m. today and continuing from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Here, Lions Club members doing the heavy lifting and getting stage areas set up are Mell Harter, left, and Ed Minge. Not only will Saturday's event include plenty of barbecue, but there will be arts and crafts booths, a reptile show, music and talent competitions, a beauty pageant and children's activities. Funds raised through the event will benefit Lions Club charities. Those attending are urged to bring a lawn chair and stay a while. The gate fee is $4, and children under 12 will be admitted free.
