Iowa City, IA --The latest edition of the ACT Parent Newsletter (www.act.org/path/parent) is now available online.
College-bound high school seniors are -- or soon will be -- busy filling out applications, taking the ACT, asking for personal references and writing essays.
Unlike many of their parents, today's college applicants have several application options, including early decision, early action, rolling admissions and regular admissions. Learn more about these alternatives on the newsletter.
It also outlines ten traps students should avoid when applying to college. This simple list will help reduce stress and save time.
For parents of younger students, the ACT Parent newsletter provides suggestions and resources to help students succeed in school. Even if students receive lackluster mid-term grades and reports, they can improve their academic readiness.
Parents can subscribe for monthly issues by visiting http://act.org/path/parent/news/subscribe.html.
The newsletter also is available in Spanish at http://www.act.org/path/spanish/.
