Covington Elkadettes President Pat Pippin recently congratulated Girls' State representative Taylor Ramsey.
Girls' State is a summer leadership and citizenship program, supported financially by the local Covington Elkadettes, part of the Covington Elks Lodge No. 1806.
Ramsey, a Newton County resident, recently attended the 2009 program, held at the Georgia Southern University.
