FORSYTH - A 20-year-old Covington man died Wednesday in an automobile crash on Ga. Highway 83, about four miles north of Forsyth, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
Korey Ryan Curtis, driving a red Nissan Altima, struck a Ford F-150 pickup driven by Max Kenneth Squires of Eatonton about 6:30 a.m., according to MCSO Lt. Brad Freeman. Curtis died following the crash. Squires was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia with serious injuries after being extricated from his truck, Freeman said. Preliminary investigation shows Curtis was traveling north and crossed the center line, striking Squires head-on, Freeman said.
