Oxford College held its 164th commencement exercises Saturday, when about 350 graduates said farewell to the campus they've known for the past two years. Many of the students will continue their junior year at Emory University in Atlanta. The school presented Helen Suzanne Hill of Thomson with the Eady Sophomore Service Award, given to the graduate who has given outstanding service to campus life during the year, and Brenda Harmon, senior lecturer in chemistry, the Emory Williams Award for Distinguished Teaching. Dr. James T. Laney, president emeritus of Emory University, gave the commencement speech.
