Eastside High School students, from left to right, Mark Yancy, JaCorey Maddox and Nathan Harvill load 575 pounds of Vidalia onions into a truck belonging to Covington Rotarian Terry Clark, who has sold 23 bags. The great onion delivery is part of an annual tradition for Covington Rotarians, who sold about 1,000 25-pound bags of the sweet onions at a cost of $15 per bag. The Covington Rotary Club has about 50 members who picked up the onions Tuesday with assistance from student volunteers at Eastside High School. Proceeds from the onion sales go to support the club's annual Empty Stocking Fund. EHS student volunteers not pictured are Jarrett Hubbard, James Johnson, Broderick Alexander and Antaruis Terrell.
