During its annual Partners in Education reception Wednesday morning, the Newton County School System honored Newton Medical Center as the 2009 Partner of the Year. NMC is a partner with East Newton Elementary School and was lauded for having had a positive influence on the morale of teachers by providing breakfast on teacher workdays; volunteering as readers and judges for the school spelling bee and recitation contest and providing supplies for the school clinic.
