Hundreds of students from Newton High School went to DeKalb Technical College in Covington on Wednesday to visit with more than 40 exhibitors representing various occupations. Among the fields represented were Snapping Shoals EMC, Bard, Newton Medical Center, Newton County Animal Control, various law enforcement agencies and the armed services.

Kindergarten registration is next week

COVINGTON - Parents or guardians who need to register their children for kindergarten in Newton County public schools for the 2009-10 school year will be able to do so next week.
