At 6 p.m. Tuesday Newton High School will have a GHSGT Informational: Help Your Child Pass The First Time! for parents and their students who will take the Georgia High School Graduation Tests. It is given by the "How Can I Help My Child Succeed" program.
At the event, representatives from each testing area - Social Studies, Science, Math and English/Language Arts - will explain what to expect, how to prepare and what is being offered at NHS; they also will provide additional resources for student preparation. Afterwards, the Career Tech/ Business department will provide instruction to parents on how to access and maneuver through the NHS Web site, including StudentTrack. Parents will also be given instructions on how to access other Web sites that their students can use as practice for the GHSGT. Newton High School students will take the graduation tests from March 17 to 20.More like this story
