Family seeks help to find missing man

CONYERS - Family members of a missing Conyers man are asking for the public's help in locating him.

Martha Bigby said her son, Todd Bigby, 37, reported to work at Burger King on Salem Road on Saturday morning, and then disappeared and has not contacted family since then.

Roy Bigby, brother of the missing man, said it is out of character for his brother to disappear without a word to anyone.

"He's not the kind of guy who would ever take off on his own," Roy Bigby said.

Family members said Todd Bigby was dropped off at work on Saturday morning by his father because his car is in the shop. They added that he had no money to rent a car or buy a bus ticket since his bank balance is depleted. In addition, they said he has no friends who would have taken him out of town. Todd Bigby is not married and has no children, his family members said. In addition, he lives at home with his parents and has no cell phone.

Martha Bigby said a video tape at Burger King from Saturday morning shows her son walking toward the back door of the restaurant but doesn't show him actually leaving. She said just prior to his approaching the door, he wrote "Quit" beside his name on the company work schedule. He had worked at Burger King for 10 years, she said.

Roy Bigby said he is concerned that his brother has been the victim of foul play.

"I think there's foul play because he's just stepped off the face of the earth," Roy Bigby said.

Todd Bigby is described as a black man with short black hair and wearing glasses. He is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds. He was last seen wearing a Burger King uniform. He is a life-long resident of Rockdale County and attended Rockdale County High School.

Anyone with information on Todd Bigby's whereabouts is asked to call the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office at 770-278-8000.
