The city of Porterdale is getting dressed up in red, white and blue to welcome one and all to its fireworks display set for 5 p.m. July 4. Here, a city worker adorns the Porterdale Depot with patriotic bunting and the city gazebo is already looking festive. The event will include a fireworks show at dark, entertainment at the historic train depot by The Stringdoctors, Stoney Gap Band and The Brother Pudge Band as well as a karaoke competition. Local food vendors will also be on hand and village shops will be open. Fireworks will be visible from anywhere in the village.More like this story
