DALTON - The Rockdale swimming squads continued to impress after combining to finish seventh overall during the North Georgia Region Championships on Saturday.
The Lady Bulldogs took fourth overall, while the Rockdale boys ended 13th.
"The great thing about this meet is that it is set up the same as the state championships, with prelims and finals," Rockdale coach Stephen Sansing said. "We have not been to a meet like that during the regular season, so it was good to get that kind of experience.
"The atmosphere of the finalists walking together to the block, with music playing, and the crowd cheering - that was fun stuff."
Based on their performance, the top finishers - listed below - all reached the finals.
For the girls, the combination of Abbi Lewis, Melanie Wright, Katie Newman and Miranda Wright took fifth in the 200-yard medley relay.
