Yanrick Tinker and Trent Taylor provided most of the points for Eastside in the area games with three and two goals respectively.

Newton splits on the links
· COVINGTON - The Newton girls golf team kept its composure to hold off Union Grove in its 84-85 win at the Oaks Course on Tuesday.
Shooting the low round of 37 for seven holes was Newton's Lydia Mikula.

Despite Newton's Franklin Clackum having the low score of 44 over nine holes for the boys, the rest of the team was unable to follow his example in its 179-209 loss.
