Ride for the Cure set for March 28

COVINGTON - Snapping Shoals EMC is getting ready for the 5th Annual Ride for the Cure, a community motorcycle ride and poker run that benefits the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

The event is set for March 28 and the cost is $15 per bike and $10 for each additional passenger. The first-out time for the ride is 10 a.m. with a last-out time of 11 a.m.

Each rider will be given a card for the poker run during registration, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. at SSEMC headquarters, located at 14750 Brown Bridge Road in Covington.

Riders will travel through Monticello, Social Circle and Monroe where they will make three stops for card drawings before returning to SSEMC headquarters. The riders with the three best poker hands at the end of the ride will win $100 for first place; $75 for second place; and $50 for third place.
